He said "Weather is good, water is flat. Swell and breeze from the south. Get out there and go go go."
We're going!
Out of Morro Bay at 4 pm
The seas are beautiful and the weather warm -- what a great evening.
... Time passes ...
It's 5 am, we're in light patchy fog, we're freezing cold and the sun is just coming up.
Our position is just south of Año Nuevo Island whistle buoy. N of Santa Cruz, on track to reach Bodega Bay by 3 pm. We plan to refuel there.
Jim has been up most of the night. He rotates between checking the gauges, looking at the radar, and peering at the navigation screen.
I've had a few naps and a spell of nausea. I went up top (suitably life jacketed) to solve a knocking noise, knelt under the flying bridge for 3 minutes, and we went through some ugly swells that did me in. But I'm back in action now.
Here's a shot of last evening's Sunset
I'll be back with updates later today.
